Frequently Asked Questions
Who can participate in YouthFit 2026? +
YouthFit 2026 is open to youth ages 9 through 17. Participants must be registered in advance. Families, guardians, and the general public are all welcome to attend and cheer on participants throughout the day. ALL persons entering the building must be registered - including general attendees and family members.
Is there a cost to participate? +
Absolutely not! Participation in YouthFit 2026 is completely FREE for registered youth participants, thanks to the generous support of our sponsors and community partners. There are no costs for admission, attendance, health screenings, or food for registered youth participants. Simply complete the online registration form to secure your spot.
What activities are available for youth participants? +
Registered youth participants have access to our Basketball Clinic and Cheer Camp - both coached, structured experiences. Participants also receive free sports physicals, EKG/ECG screenings, and vision screenings on site. Additional fitness stations, wellness workshops, and competitive events run throughout the day by age group.
What are sports physicals and EKGs, and why are they offered? +
Sports physicals are health screenings that clear youth to safely participate in athletic activity. EKGs (electrocardiograms) check the heart's electrical activity and can detect conditions that could be dangerous during physical exertion. Vision screenings identify sight barriers that may affect learning and athletic performance. All three are provided at no cost by licensed medical professionals as part of CAAIRE's commitment to whole-child wellness and health equity.
Why do participants need to arrive by 10:00 AM? +
Youth participants who arrive and check in by 10:00 AM are eligible for all event benefits, including access to the full clinic rotations, health screenings, and the complimentary healthy lunch. Participants who arrive after 10:00 AM are still welcome, but may miss early rotations and the meal service. Doors open at 9:30 AM - we encourage families to plan to arrive right when doors open.
Will food be provided? +
Yes! Healthy refreshments and snacks will be available throughout the day for all registered participants. We always prioritize nutritious choices to align with our wellness mission. To be eligible for the complimentary meal, registered youth participants must arrive by 10:00 AM. Community wellness vendors will also be on site for additional options.
What should participants wear and bring? +
Wear comfortable athletic clothing and closed-toe sneakers. Water stations will be onsite. Be sure to have your registration confirmation email ready at check-in. This is an indoor event. Sunscreen is strongly recommended for any outdoor activities. Please leave ALL valuables at home.
Does my child need a signed waiver? +
Yes. All youth participants under 18 must have a signed waiver from a parent or legal guardian. The waiver will be included in your registration. Youth will not be permitted to participate in clinic activities without a completed waiver.
How do I register my child? +
Click the "Register My Youth" button on this page to complete the online registration form. You will receive a confirmation email within 24 - 48 hours. If you need assistance or do not receive a confirmation, contact us at office@caaire.org. Please do not assume your child is registered without receiving a confirmation email.
What is the registration deadline? +
Registration closes April 25, 2026 or when capacity is reached - whichever comes first. We strongly encourage early registration. Walk-up registration on event day is not guaranteed and is based on remaining availability.
What if my child has a medical condition or allergy? +
Please note any relevant medical conditions, allergies, or special accommodations in the registration form. Our on-site medical staff will be briefed accordingly. If you have specific concerns, contact us in advance at office@caaire.org so we can ensure your child's experience is safe and enjoyable.
Can a parent or guardian stay during the event? +
Absolutely! Parents, guardians, and family members are encouraged to attend. All persons entering the building must register in advance - including family members and general attendees. The registration form includes options for general attendees. Adults can enjoy the community resource fair, free health assessments, adult wellness activities, and cheer on the youth participants. This is a family celebration!
Do parents and family members need to register too? +

The registration form includes an option for general attendees and does not require the same information as a youth participant registration. Registration is free for everyone.
Is parking available at the venue? +
Grand Avenue Neighborhood Center (800 Grand St., Orlando, FL 32805) has on-site parking available. Additional street parking may be available in the surrounding area. We recommend arriving at 9:30 AM when doors open to allow time for parking, check-in, and settling in before the 10:00 AM kickoff.
